The movement out of one state to another state can be represented by the ideas of weaving, tearing, fraying and recombination. When a system is created to manage and ‘contain’ something then immediately other forces will come into play. Fabric and the process of weaving has long been metaphor for the creation and nature of the material universe itself, and the notions of entanglement and vibrational threads are recognisable in modern science.

Nothing exists in a vacuum, and culture, the environment, language and nature are the threads of a larger fabric that is constantly being rewoven and then frayed at the edges. What happens at the edges of things is always of interest.
