Carbon as a repository of the memory of the Earth's biomass
The ideas of transition from one state to another is an ongoing theme in my work especially in the Black and White group where it is most recognisable. Using the themes of ‘material as memory’, and of transitional states is ambitious in the sense of it being a complex set of ideas to try an bring together, but it is not really that ambitious in the material sense in that the physical creation of objects that could express these ideas a fairly abundant and easy to manipulate.
